It took 30 years and an environmental awareness program for her body to be recovered from a man-made lake. On January 19, 2021, an environmental research initiative was conducted at the Muscoot Reservoir, a water reservoir in the New York City water supply system, 25 miles (40 kilometers) north of White Plains, New York. As they were inspecting the water quality of the lake, researchers from the New York City's Department of Environmental Protection stumbled upon something stranded at the bottom.4.
