In the first of our 4-part series focusing on Opportunity Mindset, we look at the ever-popular topic of setting goals. Goals need to come with a health-warning: when they are met they can be exhilarating and boost confidence and self-belief; if they are not met then it can be demoralising and depress our energy and self-esteem. We discuss the importance of setting goals that are appropriate to skill/resource level and the essential activity of reviewing  first before setting any new goals. In order for goals to be motivating, you need to first know what motivates you, what will inspire you to keep focused and avoid derailing yourself.  Taking 20 mins to reflect and review with our reflection questions means you can select your goals in a way that works for you.  We then take you through the SPOT goal-setting tool (stetching and significant, positive, observable and timed). An ideal listen if you want to set or reset your goals in a meaningful, motivating and positive way. Good refresher for those who want to set motivating goals with their team for the year ahead. Curious?
