I’m back with Dr Lee Warren for part two in this series, and this is my Values & Habits show. Lee is a war veteran, author, podcaster, and active brain surgeon. In part one we discussed the message in his new book, “Hope Is The First Dose: A treatment plan for recovering from trauma, tragedy and other massive things,” and we led off with the story of his 19 year old son Mitch who died from multiple stab wounds in the neck, in what will forever be an unsolved mystery. Here we walk through the primary areas of life and it’s in the area of relationships where Lee talks about his values and his intent to never allow discomfort in his relationships to continue, but his commitment to get it sorted out and not end a day with possible regrets. Which sounds valiant. Then he added that he doesn't handle all that perfectly, but it's an ideal. I so appreciate that, as I feel we often have big ideals, but when we fall short, we abandon them or just feel guilty.
