Hosted by Enigma's Head of Growth Tor Bair, our thirteenth episode features Erick Pinos. Erick is currently the executive director of the Blockchain Education Network, or BEN. BEN's mission is creating a more open world by promoting technological literacy and decentralization. They focus on building and supporting communities of students around the world who are interested in decentralized technologies and their applications. Previously Erick was the president of the MIT Bitcoin Club, and he's an experienced organizer and educator as well as a developer and entrepreneur. On this episode Erick discusses how he became interested in bitcoin and decentralization, the importance of a positive first experience in the decentralization space, how to build global and local communities of passionate students, and why now is the best time to get involved with decentralization - and the worst time to give up on the space. Enigma's new podcast "Decentralize This!" features guests from all over the decentralization space: developers, investors, entrepreneurs, researchers, writers, artists, people in government and enterprise - all individuals who care deeply about building a more decentralized and sustainable world. How can all these people with different perspectives collaborate to create and scale the technologies we need to shape a better future? ---- Relevant links: Blockchain Education Network: https://www.blockchainedu.org/ Enigma: www.enigma.co Enigma Blog: blog.enigma.co Enigma Twitter: www.twitter.com/enigmampc
