Hello!  I’m Belle and welcome to Silhouettes: a fashion history podcast all about the importance of the clothes we wear. Why fashion history?  Is it important, is it relevant, is it worthy of study?  In a nutshell, yes!  Fashion history is all about identity, about individuality and about being human.  The past is full of iconic looks that visually represent eras in ways that other areas of study never could.  Fashion reflects a lot more than we may initially assume and I'm excited to share my love of fashion with all you lovely lot.
