This is the first of two parts covering the events that led to the breakdown in relations between China and the Soviet Union between 1958 and 1964. This episode covers the years 1958 and 1959, and discusses the major ideological differences between the two nations which led to them disagreeing on how to handle international relations with Taiwan, the US, and India.
