From a Notting Hill slum to the House of Lords where he once worked as a dish washer John Bird, now Baron Bird of the 'Big Issue', cross party Peer has worked tirelessly for the dispossessed.  Never more so than at the start of the initial Lockdown when those on the streets faced utter destitution. Thanks to campaigners like Lord Bird those with nothing have a voice.
