“American Quartet”: Exploring Scifi Storytelling
Slice of SciFi - A podcast by Summer Brooks and Team Slice of SciFi

"American Quartet" is an indie scifi short that had begun making it's way through the festival circuit (before the pandemic shutdowns), and it's a powerful and inventive film, told using music rather than dialogue.
Filmmakers Erin McGuff-Pennington (writer), Jesca Prudencio (director), and Adam Grannick (producer) stop by to talk about making the film, set entirely to Dvorak's "String Quartet No. 12 in F Major", and choreographing the actors with the music and incorporating the advanced technology with the empathetic moments that needed to be shared.
Since some festivals are still showcasing their films via various online streaming options, people who had purchased tickets to the Garden State Film Festival, March 26-29, will still be able to view the scheduled films, including "American Quartet". You can purchase tickets at https://gsff.org/
