Stavely Minerals (ASX: SVY) on the cusp of unlocking a new copper-gold district in Victoria (w/ Chris Cairns)

Stavely Minerals (ASX: SVY) managing director Chris Cairns joins Small Caps to discuss the company’s significant ground position in Australia’s new copper-gold exploration hot spot of western Victoria. The company’s 100% owned Stavely project contains the Thursday’s Gossan prospect which hosts an inferred mineral resource of 28 million tonnes at 0.4% copper for 110,000t of contained copper. Stavely has also made an outstanding shallow high-grade copper-gold-silver discovery at the Cayley Lode and is currently undertaking resource definition drilling. Following this, it plans to commence a scoping study on the first phase of an open pit development at its namesake project. Stavely’s other cornerstone asset is its Ararat project, which hosts Besshi-style volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) copper-gold-zinc mineralisation at Mt Ararat with 1.2Mt at 2% copper, 0.5 grams per tonne gold and 0.4% zinc in inferred resources.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
