A very nice guy, but being a method actor means he actually becomes the role with very little direction needed. Whether he's role playing a cop arresting someone for speeding, putting his feet in someones face, or then shrinking them down to nothing, also known as macrophilia, which is a fascination with or a sexual fantasy involving giants. It's typically a male fantasy with the male playing the smaller part entering, being dominated, or being eaten by a larger woman or man. What's it really like being a porn star? This week's podcast is all about getting down to the nitty gritty of the porn industry and asking Miles to give the lowdown on getting down for the camera. Hi, Miles, welcome to the show.
Miles Striker: How are you doing?
Dr. Joe Kort: Good. Is that a good introduction for you?
Miles Striker: Yeah, yeah. That pretty much works. I have 12 websites. Really, the introduction would be forever because I do over 250 fetishes.
Dr. Joe Kort: I know, I saw that. We didn't know what to do, so we just did those. Maybe we could start with what got you into doing all this?
Miles Striker: Well, basically, I would say that when I got home from Iraq I had a lot of issues, like most vets do. Well, I found BDSM. I went to a dungeon club and I got whipped for the first time. Next thing you know, I found comfort in it. It became my new therapy. BDSM, I studied, I learned, got into it. Ten years later, I go into actually the same event that I just booked, Fetish Con. I see a whole bunch of people doing things, and I really realized that I've been doing this for ten years, I'm pretty good at it, and I kinda want to walk a red carpet. I was like, I'll just do this. Didn't think it would go anywhere, and now here I am.
Dr. Joe Kort: It became natural for you, a natural progression?
Miles Striker: Oh, yeah. Exactly. One of the beautiful things is how I got started, I never had an in. I never had a porn star girlfriend to get me in. I just was like, here I am and yeah, I'll do that, yeah, I'll do that. I used to do this thing on a radio station, was try to figure out what I wouldn't do.
Dr. Joe Kort: I can just see people listening and thinking to themselves, well, he came back from Iraq, he was a vet, that caused him to get into BDSM.
