On this episode, Joe tackles the tricky subject of sex after cancer with Dr. Stephanie Buehler. There’s no way around it, having cancer sucks, but, Stephanie, a licensed psychologist and AASECT- certified sex therapist, believes that although talking sex and cancer in the same breath is awkward, we must remember that still being able to have a sex life is very important to cancer survivors. “One’s sexual script may have changed since having cancer,” says Stephanie. “But, human beings are very inventive, and if you can change the way you think about sex, and go back to basics, beginning slowly with non-demand touch, you can successfully reset your sex life.”
