On this Episode, we will dive into the depths of the concept of Folklore and Popular Song. At the same time, we will look closer into on of the genres from the folkloric music in South America, the Zamba. Through the explanations from different authors like Saúl Domínguez Saldívar, Irene López and Rodolfo Kusch, we'll discuss the origins of the Zamba and of the Popular Song related to the folklore and the authentic thinking from Latin America. In this discussion, the words and reflections from the artist Carlos Fernando Vargas, Silvana Irigoyen Nadia Szachniuk and Lorena Astudillo, will shade light on the meanings of the concepts being discussed. And they'll do it from their own experiences as thinkers and artists that spend their lives dedicated to create, reflect and engage in dialogues about the significance of music. And as an anticipation of a continuous debate, Lorena Astudillo and Nadia Szachniuk will share their reflections on the role of the women in the folkloric music and in the music in general.
