Lois Weiner and Sarah Rothschild speak in this session recorded at Socialism 2024. Capitalism has shifted its project to dismantle public education. A new alignment of players (including tech firms, private equity, and venture capitalists), have established a foothold in schools using educational technology to privatize, surveil and control teachers’ and students’ work, often working with the far Right to turn back social justice reforms in schools.
