However, David failed to reach his destination, on the following morning David's wife, Sarah, was informed that he had not completed the scheduled delivery. David's semi-truck was discovered in an unusual state—unlocked, parked in the middle of the road, and loaded with pigs. His personal belongings, including his cell phone, wallet, and cash, were found inside the truck, while his coat was discovered in a nearby ditch.David was last seen at the Marker 126 truck stop east of Fort Dodge on Hwy 20, captured by surveillance cameras, and later, his phone's data revealed that his truck was heading towards the location where the truck was eventually found.
