Whether it be a lover or a negative voice in your mind, it’s wrapped in beautiful clothing, slowly pulling you into its lie. It’s important to silence those voices and follow your heart’s desire. "Watching this song come to life was an incredible experience. Lauren Christy and I wrote it during our first writing session at her home in Los Angeles. Two songs from the album were written that day, the other being Hurting Me, Hurting You. Every once in awhile there an indescribably synergy that happens in a cowrite, and the songs seem to write themselves. That was one of those days. Lauren’s brother Brandon Christy and Paul Wiltshire produced the track, and I’ll never forget the first time I listened to the rough mix, I had tears streaming down my face. They had truly exceeded all my expectations in the production of the song. Filming the music video was also surreal. Director, Jeremy Rush, who also directed Not Yet, put together an amazing crew of people and we filmed the video in one day. I fell in love with the creative treatment and again the execution exceeded any expectations I had. It truly is a blessing to work with talented and passionate friends."
