"New Mexico is the place for space!" Welcome to the first episode of the Spaceport America Podcast! In this episode, we wanted to explore why the world's first commercial spaceport was built in our state and what the future holds for the aerospace industry in New Mexico. Joining New Mexico Spaceport Authority (NMSA) PR Coordinator Alice Carruth is the Vice-Chairperson of the New Mexico Aerospace States Associations Joe Bullington and Casey Anglada DeRaad. Joe Bullington is the Commercialization Manager for the Jacobs White Sands Group at the NASA JSC White Sands Test Facility (WSTF), near Las Cruces, NM, where he has worked since 2006. Casey Anglada DeRaad is the CEO of NewSpace New Mexico, a non-profit organization that works to connect and promote aerospace partners throughout New Mexico and across the US.
