In this week’s episode, SPA’s Cori Williams speaks with Associate Professor Marleen Westerveld and Rachelle Wicks, a PhD student from Griffith University. Rachelle and Marleen explore the findings from their research using eye-track technology to examine the visual attention to print versus pictures of preschoolers on the autism spectrum when engaged in shared book reading. They use their findings to explain why many preschoolers with ASD show excellent alphabet knowledge.
