This is my last episode of 2020! Roberts will officially be next week! Woohoo! Today we talked about some commonly used expressions to use when having a conversation in American English.
Summary:
You may express your opinion or an idea by starting off your sentence by saying...
- Personally, I think that...
- In my opinion…
- Here’s what I think…
- Actually, I think that…
- I know how you feel
- I would love to run an idea by you
You may express that you understood them by saying:
- I gotcha (slang)
- Saying things twice so like: Alright alright, mk mk, great great, cool cool
- I hear you
- Roger that (Someone may remember when the B1 Battle Droids say roger roger)
- Got it
- You betcha
You may express agreement by saying:
- So good
- That’s perfect
- I know, right?
