Moteka is a Techno dj and producer from Marseille. Being active on the electronic scene since the 2000s, he has progressively oriented his sonic creations towards the darkest Techno territories. The last couple of years have been quite prolific for the French artist, as his productions have been released on established labels such as Children of tomorrow, Skryptöm or Newrhythmic to name a few. It didn’t take long before his work gained the attention of the international techno community. His tracks have been remixed by the likes of Xhin and Ben Gibson and charted by iconic techno figures like Ben Sims. By the end of 2015, his debut live act at the legendary Rex club in Paris has been met with ecstatic acclamation. Moteka’s dark and sophisticated sound is becoming more and more unique, with a huge focus on deep atmospheres, raw rhythms and finely detailed structures. In his studio, which can be rather considered as a Techno laboratory, he is constantly pushing forward his sonic experimentations looking for the perfect mixture of mind-bending textures and powerful structures. As a dj, his hybrid live/mix setup adds a great dose of functionality to the music he plays and makes each of his appearances even more special. There is no doubt that the coming years will be full of success for this analog gears addict.
