Matt Dell is a father, indie musician, children’s music performer, climate activist, bike advocate, community builder, resident and City Councillor in Victoria, Canada. Matt has a Master’s of Political Science from the University of Victoria with a specialization in BC politics and small-scale agriculture. Matt has spent the last 10 years working in a variety of roles with the BC Government and currently serves as Director of Legislation at the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training, where he oversees all the legislation, governance and legal for the Ministry. Previously, Matt gained extensive experience in environmental grant-writing as a manager of the $140 million Community Gaming Grant program in BC. In the community, Matt is president of the South Jubilee Neighbourhood Association where he works on community building and sustainability initiatives in the city.
