Sports Spectrum Podcast - A podcast by Sports Spectrum

George Foreman is a former heavyweight champion boxer, successful entrepreneur and pastor of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Houston, Texas.  In 1973, Foreman defeated Joe Frazier to capture the world heavyweight boxing championship. After losing the title in 1974 to Muhammad Ali, Foreman became a follower of Christ and walked away from boxing in 1977 to become a pastor. In 1987, he returned to boxing and in November 1994, he defeated Michael Moorer to capture the WBA/IBF heavyweight championship for a second time. At the age of 45, Foreman's victory made him the oldest fighter ever to win a championship.  George's life is portrayed in the new film "Big George Foreman," releasing in theaters April 28, 2023.  Today on the podcast, we talk to George Foreman about the new film, why it was time for him to yes to a project like this, how his faith has helped him in his life and why Jesus is his keeper and his firm foundation.  Receive our Sports Spectrum Devotional written by professional athletes for FREE when you sign up for our Sports Spectrum Weekly Email Newsletter.
