Janine McCook: Long time greyhound owner on the Government shutdown

Killing retired racing greyhounds is now banned - after Parliament's unanimously passed a law - in less than two hours.  The Bill - read under urgency - will protect nearly three-thousand dogs needing re-homing, as the Government shutters the industry. A rapid-fire string of speeches included many addresses from MPs on their own pet dogs.  That includes Labour MP and former racing minister Kieran McAnulty.
