Linda Yaccarino, NBCUniversal Chairman of Global Advertising and Partnerships, has resigned, the company said Friday. Sources told CNBC that she is in advanced talks to succeed Musk in the top job at Twitter. Musk tweeted that he would transition to the roles of executive chairman and chief technology officer. The news gave a lift to shares of Tesla.
