Episode 201 – Brian Morgan – How Do We Know The Things We Know Are True, Are True?

Brian Morgan|| Language is Brand. Brand is Trust, and Trust is Your Business Language is essential to every aspect of our lives, and how we use it says a lot about who we are. It is a tool we’ve used to create and shape cultures across the world, and as a result, it has become one of the most powerful marketing tools that brands can leverage. Language can affect your brand’s perception; if you’re not careful. It could be all it takes to ruin your business. Learn how you can master your language and improve your communication and writing skills for a prosperous life. Brian Morgan joins us. Brian Morgan is the president of Think Deeply, Write Clearly. He is also a university professor with a long business history who designed a more effective way to teach writing and communication that serves business and cultural needs. Prior to TDWC, Brian was the managing editor of New York City’s premier planning and engineering firm, responsible for the documents that were used to get the approvals of the World Trade Center and Moynihan Station, among dozens of others. Brian developed this approach to writing and taught it at that firm to fill the gap between the university instruction and credible business language– recognizing that we didn’t have a “writing” problem in our businesses as much as we had a “thinking” problem that ended up in writing. Besides coffee talk, we talk about the misconception of human comprehension and how that affects writing in all areas of life. We also discuss how information has a structure– including abstract and concrete structures.  TUNE IN and Get ready to take notes!
