A Special Coffee Talk Edition with the Owner of Ethiocoffee, Michael Haile Of all the record episodes of over 200 shows we have ever had in this podcast; this is the first one where our guest is a coffee enthusiast and a coffee trader. His life didn’t make sense in the finance background until he cracked the code with coffee. Michael Haile joins us today with mind-blowing facts and insights about coffee from the perspective of an entrepreneur with first-hand information. Michael provides leadership and business seminars to individuals and companies in the UK and Ethiopia. He organises events to help promote speciality coffees.  On Saturday, 17 December 2022, Michael’s company, in partnership with the Ethiopian Embassy in London, will present the first Ethiopian Coffee Exhibition in the UK to showcase coffees that are exclusively from Ethiopia. This is the first of its kind, a journey aimed at adding value to the import and distribution of world-renowned coffees straight from their origin. In this episode, Michael shares that thousands of coffee tree species worldwide exist, but only a handful are commercialised, and only two categories sell the most. These are coffee Arabica and coffee Robusta. He also explains that coffee is about brewing, the type of beans you use, how you roast them, the brewing temperature, and the chemistry behind it that affects what is inside the cup.
