One of my biggest fears is that people will take a sense of complacency in average advice provided by "financial experts". Seeing numbers thrown around about how much you need to retire are often fraught with dangers as these numbers appear to be extremely low and don't create a future of financial freedom but frightening financial poverty. To take this worry of mine further, I also worry that the realisation of this average advice is realised too late in life. When we don't have the time or energy left to fix this gap.
