Joe Manganiello

Just when you thought Rick had interviewed all the STRONG MEN of Hollywood... Joe Manganiello drops in to the TYSO studio.  The Magic Mike star comes brandishing his rescue chihuahua, Bubbles, and gets acquainted with Rick and the Shoe’s Off podcast universe.  The two bond over a deep childhood love of Arnold Schwarzenegger and superheroes. They discuss Joe’s game of choice, Dungeons & Dragons, and what it was like for both of them at school to have such fringe “nerd” interests (go check out Ricks episode with Magic The Gathering expert The Professor).  They discuss Joe’s successful high school athletic career and Joe speaks on “Type Casting” which is why he’ll never play Stephen Hawking. They debate relationship stereotypes and Rick tells why he doesn’t want to feel obligated to kiss on a first date or open the car door for his love interests. Meanwhile, Joe discusses his romantic instincts and how he prepared for his last first kiss. They dive into a very considerate conversation that gets Rick a little emotional and Joe champions our hosts eccentricities. Om Podcasten

Hi, I'm Rick Glassman, and I'm a goofy guy and a cute boy. As a kid, I had debilitating OCD. I still have a lot of “things.” The title of my podcast “Take Your Shoes Off” is a microcosm of my need for control and order in a world that... keeps their shoes on. I created this podcast to showcase a more serious side, as I have conversations with some of the funniest and most interesting people in the world. I’ve learned the language of comedy in an attempt to survive this shoes-on world, so of course there will be some goofs and spoofs, but think of this podcast as you being a fly on the wall, as opposed to being an audience member in a theatre. Please, take your shoes off, and enjoy!
