Nelson Franklin

Ultimate nice guy Actor Nelson Franklin drops by the balcony this week.  They jump right into their first meeting… and why Rick doesn’t remember it. Nelson expresses his appreciation for Rick’s confidence in uncomfortable situations.  Nelson discusses being on heavy hitting shows like The Office, Black•ish, Veep, New Girl, and the magic that happens when you film three in one day. He also divulges on his worst career moment… a failed Curb Your Enthusiasm audition and they both share stories about the audition process of the greatest show of all time. Nelson recounts his Tisch schooling, why he started doing drama in High School (hello, ladies) and how it opened him up from a shy “nerd” to doing improv and dabbling at Stand Up in NYC.  We also get to hear about the upcoming Netflix film he did with none other than Jason Mamoa and how its his first serious role.  Oh and we mustn’t forget this weeks sponsors: BABBEL go to https://www.Babbel.com and use promo code TYSO, for an extra 3 months free. Om Podcasten

Hi, I'm Rick Glassman, and I'm a goofy guy and a cute boy. As a kid, I had debilitating OCD. I still have a lot of “things.” The title of my podcast “Take Your Shoes Off” is a microcosm of my need for control and order in a world that... keeps their shoes on. I created this podcast to showcase a more serious side, as I have conversations with some of the funniest and most interesting people in the world. I’ve learned the language of comedy in an attempt to survive this shoes-on world, so of course there will be some goofs and spoofs, but think of this podcast as you being a fly on the wall, as opposed to being an audience member in a theatre. Please, take your shoes off, and enjoy!
