For the first time cherry grower Tim Reid is advertising for 750 cherry pickers for the upcoming harvest as concern grows about the shortage of workers, and major berry grower Costa is looking for 2 thousand berry pickers in the state but early indications are that Tasmanian locals are not interested in applying.
