Among it's ecosystem updates a recent tweet stated NFTs (and even CBDCs) may be coming to Polkadot on Friday. This would be done by upgrading Polkadot’s Shell parachain to the Statemint parachain and interface. Statemint allows anyone to create assets & mint NFTs on Polkadot.
