Today on the podcast I am very excited to be joined by Eric Jorgenson, the author of my favorite book of 2020 - The Almanack of Naval. If you've never heard of Naval, he is a prolific Silicon Valley investor and philosopher who gained a lot of public notoriety for his deep dives on Twitter and podcasts breaking down how to become wealthy and happy step-by-step in today's world. In 2018 Eric tweeted a simple question, "should I compile all of Naval's best tweets, interviews, posts, and conversations organized by topic in a short book?" Thousands of responses and hundreds of retweets later he had an answer, including one from Naval himself who responded saying that he'd be happy to help...and thus the idea for the Almanack of Naval was both. The book proved to not be such a simple project but 2 and a half years after first sending out that tweet the book was published and became an immediate top seller. We started this interview by speaking about Eric's background and how he even ended up becoming interested in Naval in the first place and then we took a hard turn and went deep down the rabbit hole of one of Naval's biggest contributions, his view and breakdown of Leverage and how it applies to our day to day life and economy. Personally, this is one of my favorite interviews we've done on this podcast and I think you guys are really going to enjoy this conversation and walk away having learned a lot about how to make the most of your time and expertise.
