Today on the podcast I am joined by Paul Millerd the author of the new book, The Pathless Path. In the book, Paul talks about his life going from a small-town Connecticut kid to achieving his dream of working at one of the most prestigious consulting firms in the world, but after working in his “dream job” Paul found that at the end of the day it wasn’t what he wanted from his life thus launching him on a new and unexpected adventure. This book is a personal journey of awakening and is an ideal companion for people considering leaving their jobs, embarking on a new path, dealing with the uncertainty of an unconventional path, or searching for better models for thinking about work in a fast-changing world. During this interview, Paul and I really dove in deep on these topics and tried to unpack them. From why work holds such a central place in our lives, if we should rely on our work to bring us meaning, and what living a pathless path lifestyle looks like on the day to day.
