In this spooky episode of The A to Z English Podcast, Jack reads a story about The Dyatlov Pass Incident. In 1959, a group of experienced hikers embarked on a winter expedition in the Ural Mountains of Russia. Led by Igor Dyatlov, the group consisted of nine hikers, mostly students from the Ural Polytechnical Institute. Their goal was to reach Otorten, a mountain about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) north of their final campsite.Everything appeared normal until the group failed to check in on the expected date, causing concern among their families and authorities. A search party was sent out to find them. When the search team located the hikers' campsite, they were greeted by a perplexing and horrifying sight. The hikers' tent was torn from the inside, and their belongings, including warm clothing and shoes, were left behind. The hikers' tracks led away from the tent, and they were barely dressed for the harsh winter conditions. As the search continued, the first two bodies were found a couple of kilometers from the campsite, shoeless and dressed only in their underwear. Their hands and faces displayed signs of severe frostbite, and their injuries were inconsistent with an animal attack. More bodies were discovered in the following weeks, and some were found at the bottom of a ravine, while others were scattered in the woods. One hiker had a fractured skull, while another had her tongue missing. The investigation into the Dyatlov Pass incident was inconclusive and wrapped in mystery. The official conclusion stated that the hikers died from a "compelling natural force," but this explanation left many questions unanswered. The case has given rise to numerous theories, ranging from avalanches to military involvement and even extraterrestrial encounters. To this day, the Dyatlov Pass incident remains one of the most unsettling unsolved mysteries, leaving us with more questions than answers, and shrouded in an eerie sense of the unexplained.Podcast Website:https://atozenglishpodcast.com/a-to-z-spooky-quick-tok-58-the-dyatlov-pass-incident/Social Media:Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/671098974684413/Tik Tok:@atozenglish1Instagram:@atozenglish22Twitter:@atozenglish22A to Z Facebook Page:https://www.facebook.com/theatozenglishpodcastCheck out our You Tube Channel:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCds7JR-5dbarBfas4Ve4h8ADonate to the show: https://app.redcircle.com/shows/9472af5c-8580-45e1-b0dd-ff211db08a90/donationsRobin and Jack started a new You Tube channel called English Word Master.
