#261 Book Claims to Teach Christians to Raise the Dead: A Review
The Alisa Childers Podcast - A podcast by Alisa Childers
Categories:
Several years ago, Andrew and Kalley Heiligenthal asked the members of their church, Bethel in Redding, California, to pray for resurrection after their two-year old daughter Olive died suddenly. The hashtag #wakeupolive was shared thousands of times on social media. After the unsuccessful attempt to raise Olive from the dead, many Christians began wondering what type of theology was really being taught at Bethel. “How to Raise the Dead” is a book by Bethel alum Tyler Johnson. The book claims that every Christian should be performing miracles, raising the dead, and achieving immortality. The book has been sold in the Bethel book store, and lays a theological framework in which the author claims every Christian can harness resurrection power. Alisa read the book and offers her analysis and review on today’s episode.------------------------------------------------------------------This video is sponsored by:GOOD RANCHERSSubscribe to any Good Ranchers box and you can choose a free add-on for the next year!Free in every box for 1 year: Boneless Chicken Breasts or Angus Ground Beef or Applewood Smoked Bacon Or Wild-Caught SalmonPlus, with my special code, ALISA, you’ll get an additional $25 off your first box and free express shipping.Go to www.goodranchers.com/alisa for more information.SEVEN WEEKS COFFEETaste the Coffee that is Saving Lives.Use the code, ALISA, to get 10% off, plus Subscribe and save and extra 15% and get a free “Drink Coffee, Save Lives” tote on your order. Will you join us by drinking more coffee so we can save more lives?
