It’s hard to know what any of us would do in the face of immense adversity and loss, but today’s guest is an example of how to move through it with dignity and grace- while using it to expand your heart and deepen your sense of self in the process. Lauren Scruggs Kennedy is the author of 2 books, Still LoLo and Your Beautiful Heart, founder of “Stranded”- a dry shampoo company, curator of her lifestyle blog, founder of Lauren Scruggs Kennedy Foundation AND hosts a yearly retreat with Bethany Hamilton for young women who have lost limbs. In 2011, Lauren suffered a tragic accident that resulted in the loss of a limb and her left eye, along with severe brain damage at the time of the incident. Not only did she come back stronger than ever, but Lauren also used her struggle as a way to grow, connect with others and give back to a community of people who often feel entirely alone. In today’s episode, Lauren shares with us exactly how she found the strength and courage to do that- and how each and every one of us can too.
