Madeline Miller is a Boston-born author who has dedicated her career to ancient Greek mythology. She draws parallels between the tales of heroes of ancient times and protagonists today. A new voice Her recent work centers around the Homeric works, “The Iliad” and “The Odyssey,” where we meet the character Circe. Miller’s novel “Circe” is her second book, released in April 2018. Told from the perspective of the character from “The Odyssey,” Miller tackles one of the world’s most enduring stories from a new point of view and gives a voice to the woman on the sidelines of Homer’s saga. Madeline Miller attended Brown University, where she earned her BA and MA in Classics. She has taught and tutored Latin, Greek and Shakespeare to high school students for over 15 years.
