Episode 27 - (Not) Following the Crowd

We know that leaders are often not truly self-made (at least not quite, remember the shoulders of giants). Yet these people have a rare ability when it comes to making decisions. They can consciously look at what other people are doing en masse and then they make a decision to go against the flow. It usually involves a lot of figuring out what the right course might be, but the fact itself that they can do something totally different from the rest of the crowd is very significant. The ability to consciously choose your direction where most people follow (and rationalize afterward), coupled with learning from the best, is the trademark of a true leader.
