With nearly a third of African states heading to the polls,  the debate surrounding the regulation of AI in political campaigns is ongoing, reflecting the multifaceted challenges posed by its widespread use. From misinformation to deepfakes, the landscape is filled with obstacles that defy conventional regulatory approaches. So how will AI be monitored during these upcoming elections and what lessons can we learn from other countries that have encountered AI problems?
