This evening on Psychological Matters, we look at the issue of whether the mental well-being of mothers is adequately considered especially in cases where there’s abuse or filicidal acts. The issue of maternal filicide in South Africa – the act of a mother killing her child or children – while devastating, is a complex issue that cannot be simply broken down. With more deaths at women's hands, there is a need for increased awareness and effective action.
