In this episode, I talk about mild dissociation, how to differentiate it from relaxation, and why that makes a difference to sleep. I describe what mild dissociation is, why it happens, what the experience of it is, how we can tell if a baby or child is mildly dissociated, and how it affects sleep. I also share about the innate relaxation response and how supporting babies and children with this helps them feel more relaxed, and how their sleep is then different as a result.
