Worship While You Wait

God Is Within Her - a women’s devotional podcast - A podcast by Valarie Reynolds

Today, I wanted to take a lesson from my own life and use it as inspiration for this episode. There can be something powerful in a “me too” testimony and I have a “me too” moment for you. Does anyone else struggle with waiting? Basically, is anyone else like me? You plan everything out (even possibly in faith) and when it doesn’t happen exactly as you envisioned it, you get agitated. And then you begin to dwell on the delayed timeline and that compounds worry on top of anxiety. This causes you to rack your brain for solutions. You wallow of it. You lose sleep over it. You get more frustrated because “gah why can’t things just line up the way I wanted them to?!” -- Me. Too. Sister. This was me last week. So I want to share with you what God has taught me in my current season of waiting. I want to encourage you, today, to see your season of waiting as an opportunity to LEARN, not a place to grumble and complain. Do some self evaluation today and ask yourself: what is your default setting when you experience a delay in your plan? Is your default setting to complain? Or is your default setting trusting God?Waiting is an opportunity to develop our faith.  Just because you don’t like waiting, doesn’t mean that sometimes we don’t need it to take full effect, because God sees we are still lacking. We aren’t perfect and complete yet. We still have some refining to do. And worshiping while we wait is our way of honoring God, glorifying Him, not because of what He can give us, but just because of who He is. -------------------Have you been wanting to grow that more intimate relationship with God or spend more time in the word but just don’t know where to start?
