His professional career started as a photojournalist where he was known for captivating work from documenting the history of South Africa, spanning the Apartheid era to the present day. He has captured the history of South Africa through his lens. From the children dancing in the dusty townships of South Africa to kings, presidents, and statesmen of the world. Siphiwe's work uniquely captures the emotional depth and cultural essence of jazz, showcasing the musicians and their performances in a way that transcends mere images.
