World Road Running Championships - Riga 2023

Welcome back to TBR. Ahead of the inaugural road running champs this coming weekend in Riga, Latvia we sat down with one of the team helping to bring it together. Alfreds Alpinis.  As part of the communications and marketing team, he is well placed to shed some light on the story they are aiming to tell for this very first staging of a world road champs. In this conversation we touch on his own running, how the event came to be, the scale of logistics involved and run through the elite fields who will be competing over the half marathon, 5k and Mile.
