Do you ever feel like you have to do all of the things in your business in order to be successful? Today, I’m pulling a page straight out of my training in the Heartfelt Brand Society, my six month group coaching program, to share the easiest way to simplify your marketing efforts in your business. If you feel like you’re required to consistently blog, show up on Instagram stories daily, post to your Instagram feed, and #allthethings in order to feel successful, I’m here to tell you that you don’t. I’m raising my hand in solidarity, because oftentimes I’ve been sucked into feeling the same way! This mindset will spread you too thin—forcing you to lose the intentions behind your marketing efforts. My Three Unpopular Opinions on Marketing 1. You do not have to create more content.2. You do not have to be on all of the social platforms.3. You do not have to blog regularly (or at all). Practical Ways to Generate More Inquiries through a Streamlined and Simplified Marketing Approach Remember: We are all working with different limitations of creativity and time. Understand Where Your Top Performing Leads are Coming From Have you taken a look at the data within your existing platforms? Tangible numbers from your personal platforms can tell you a story that industry experts cannot. Take a look at the following places to determine where your clients are coming from to understand where you should be spending your time: Google Analytics and Contact Forms What are your top lead generation sources? While there have been times in my business that I spent way too much time creating content and trying to market on all of the platforms, I eventually realized that I needed to review my top lead generation sources. After doing a bit of research, I realized that my most profitable clients came from Word of Mouth Referrals, Instagram, and Pinterest. How Can You Invest More Energy Into These Sources? Once you’ve determined the most profitable lead sources for your business, it’s time to brainstorm how you can make the most out of these platforms. This could mean repurposing old content, utilizing scheduling tools, advertising, creating strategies, etc. The steps you take to capitalize on these lead generation sources will look different for each source in order to best tailor to where your people are coming from and the offer you are sharing with them. After reviewing and understanding what is working, you’ll want to remove anything that is not working—or at least place them on the back-burner. Don’t Overthink This You don’t need to buy into the notion that in order to be successful, you have to do, do, do. You can do less with more intention and experience even bigger, more beautiful results.
