Once you’ve determined who your ideal client is, you’re ready to start marketing to them! Are you lacking the confidence to do so? As an introvert, I understand! Today, I’m sharing three ways you can boost confidence in order to show up for your clients! You can easily conjure up an ideal image of who you prefer to serve, but I see so many designers struggle with confidence in marketing themselves to those clients. Knowing who your ideal customer is and marketing to them are two very different things. There is so much content out there that tells you to believe yourself, but today I’m sharing more. I’m sharing HOW you can believe in yourself and show up every single day. It’s More than a Mindset Shift While there are so many self-help books and articles encouraging you to believe in yourself, I’m sharing three steps you can take today in order to truly shift that mindset. Consider peeling back all of the incredible value that you bring to your clients, and imagine what that information and knowledge could do for your business! Let’s walk through the following steps: * Cultivate a belief in the value you offer.* Get clear on the transformation your work provides.* Show up differently. Cultivate a belief in the value you offer. Let’s start this cultivation by listing out the value that you pour into every single project you work on. This exercise highlights the value you bring to your clients. Complete the following sentence: I help my clients __________________________________. This could look like the following:I help my clients feel more confident in their brand.I help my clients convert website traffic into paying customers.I focus on cultivating a relationsal approach with my clients so they feel valued. After completing this exercise, you’ll have data to review what you do for your clients. These tangible benefits allow you to see all of the work that you pour into your clients. The more you begin to do this and see your value, the more you’ll believe in what you’re doing. Get clear on the transformation your work provides. Once you understand the value you bring, it’s time to identify how your work delivers a clear cut transformation for your clients. Take a look at how your clients are winning by working with you. Of all the work you’ve done, what impact has it had on your client’s businesses? Complete the following sentence: My services allow my clients to be able to ____________________. Show up differently. Now it’s time to focus on how you show up for your clients, or better yet, your audience. If you’re showing up consistently with a hard sell, people will notice that and realize you’re not adding value to their business. Approach your marketing with an attitude to serve, not sell. If you’re equipping your audience with the ideals their dreaming of, they’ll become students/clients you’re equipping with the results they’re in need of. Your ideal client wants an experience that they can only get from you, but you have to show that value before they become paying customers.
