Phil is the co-founder of American Yogi, a US Army Veteran, teacher, poet and relentless seeker of peace.  After working briefly as a conflict photographer in Israel, Phil shot for the Associated Press, NYT, and eventually contracted before joining the US Army. After a decade of service that included deployments to Jordan and Syria, Phil hung up his uniform to focus fully on his family, writing, and spiritual practice.
