Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend! I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks… Let’s get started! Dustin: Is the daily probiotic support contraindicated for someone with a slight candida overgrowth? I just got my Big 5 labs and it showed a minor candida overgrowth. Part of my wellness plan is the Limited Yeast Protocol and it will be a few months before I begin that, therefore, I was curious if I need to discontinue my Daily Probiotic Support in the meantime since it will be a little while before I do the Limited Yeast Protocol. Thanks for all you do! Becky: Hi Dr. Cabral I have a question. I contracted COVID-19 back in July 2020. I wasn’t very sick just achy and had flu like symptoms but my smell and taste disappeared. I thought I was starting to get it back when all of a sudden I started smelling and tasting horrible things. Everything started to smell like rancid Thai food and now as it is January 2nd it’s not any better. Only sweet things taste like anything and everything smells awful. Do you have any suggestions on how to get my olfactory nerves to rebuild faster? Thank you!! Angela: Dr. CabralLove your show and the work you do to help the community! I’m generally a listener curious in all the different medical dilemmas you discuss on your show, however I now find myself in search of answers. I recently had a dental implant and the following day from the surgery I woke up with the feeling of a lump in my throat that has persisted for over two months now. The only time I don’t fee the lump sensation is when I’m eating and drinking and when I’m asleep. I saw an ENT who diagnosed me with Globus sensation in which we are trying to rule out silent acid reflux first and then moving on to other possibilities of what may be causing this. In the mean time I’m looking for solutions to help minimize the feeling of the lump. There is no pain and does not present any issues when eating and drinking but it is so annoying. Any ideas of some non toxic remedies? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!Angela Ashley: I want to thank you for all your research you do to help everyone you can going through dis-ease in their body. I suffer with pain and pressure in my stomach. Recently I had a barium swallow done to make sure that my surgery from 2007 to repair a hiatal hernia done was still holding up. They noticed that I have a lot of air trapped in my upper left colon. I have completed the food sensitivity test and cut out the foods I was sensitive to. I have Celiac, acid reflux, dairy free, no eggs, no vanilla, or pineapple. I was wondering what your recommendation would be to help with this. I have listen to your podcast on the different test to take and wanted to know which test to start with. Looking forward to working with you and healing my dis-ease. Dustin: Hi Dr. Cabral! I am a long time listener and wanted to ask about a hint you gave back in 2019 where you eluded to an anti-aging supplement formula you were working on and you stated it would be coming out around February the following year (2020). You were very excited about it and eluded to some of the ingredients, which I was excited about. I waited all year with peak anticipation :) and nothing came. Is this still in the works? Justin: I was wanting information specifically on pulsatile tinnitus, and if regular tinnitus frequently accompanies that or not. I do have both and I’m not sure if they’re the major culprits to my insomnia or theirs other underlying issues. I understand that pulsatile tinnitus could be a symptom of cardiovascular issues. I do have a heart murmur, does that coincide with pulsatile tinnitus some how? Hannah: Greetings Dr. Cabral! My dad is 62 years old, has been battling Congestive Heart Failure, and is sadly pumped full of pharmaceuticals to deal with everything. He had 2 mitral clips inserted this past October, and is now being evaluated to hopefully be put on the list for a total heart transplant. It's so tough and sad to watch him go through this, and I wish he didn't have to struggle so much. Would working with a skilled Naturopathic Doctor be possible, even with his condition and dozens of medications? What would you do in this situation? Thank you so much for shining your light!!
