This week Michelle speaks with Tina Pencinger about working in an Oxfam charity shop, fast fashion, and her style and sustainability fashion blog 'Golden med girl'. Tina is a deputy manager of an Oxfam shop in Kingston, she gives us an insight into how clothing and other donated items are sold, upcycled, or even used to make recycled car seats. Tina has a passion for fashion, saving the environment and animals. She is one of our lovely cat sitters at Chatty Cats Care, covering Kingston and surrounding areas in Surrey. We speak about the sustainability of second-hand shopping and what that means. Tina gives us some great tips about how we can become even more conscious about fast fashion and ways we can sell, donate, or even rent clothing. Tina is originally from Croatia and lived in her family home that had a big garden, so they kept dogs, cats, and chickens. She has always been surrounded by rescue animals and has great experience and knowledge of cats. She previously worked at a dog hotel and she tells us about how much animals mean to her and why she wanted to become a cat sitter.
