43 Why do ”THEY ALWAYS BLAME AMERICA FIRST”?

I was puzzled in my early school life by a question whose answer I discovered in graduate school. Why do intellectuals in the West default to blaming our culture for all the world’s ills? In many ways it was this question that drove me to the study of philosophy, to abandoning my Christian faith. As I unraveled an answer in graduate school and academic life, I also found my way back to Christ, or perhaps He was always leading me onward and upward as I seriously sought Truth.
