48 | Lessons in Love: Legacies of Family Secrets, Shame as a Teacher, and Unapologetic Emotional Expression

The Current - A podcast by Nadia Last

I believe that we are all divine souls having a human experience. This human experience is designed to stretch us spiritually—an “Earth School” with a unique curriculum of relationships and experiences designed to help us grow and evolve. The goal? To remember that we are all interconnected and come from the same loving Source. To choose love in all interactions and turn up the brightness of the love that’s in our hearts and raise the vibration of our planet through consistent inner inquiry practices and presence with ourselves. Despite having momentary glimpses of this truth and surrounding myself with crystals, books, and objects that remind me of it daily, I forget it. My journey is just as clunky, full of fumbles, and laughable moments of ignorance. In this fast-paced world of endless media scrolling, I crave real-life, honest examples of humans on their individuated spiritual journeys to stimulate my self-reflection, observation, and growth. I want to ask everyone I meet, “What lesson are you currently learning in life?” One of my favorite mantras is “create what you want to see in the world.” As such, I am humbly offering my own lessons and stories from my human fumbling here in an effort to reconnect you to your heart and spiritual journey and hopefully make us all feel less alone in the shared humanity of it all.
